We're combining two of our favorite geocaching elements, challenge caches and geo-art. We will talk about the new geocaches and then head out on the range (the Barry M. Goldwater Range) to find them. Read the event page for some important details.
After a busy day discovering not one, but two geo-arts, come relax with friends, and enjoy food and drink (optional). Join us at this iconic, western-themed watering hole. Thursday, January 29:
Plan on attending this CITO Event hosted by S*W*A*G and RED BUGGY MAN (Sally). We want the park to look Great! for the upcoming Mega Event.
Who knew there was more to Yuma than just dirt, sand, and mountain trails. BocceCrew has discovered a haven for water activities, located along the Colorado River and Martinez Lake. While this event takes place on land, you might consider
signing up for an amazing Sunset Dinner Cruise on the Colorado King, a unique one-of-a-kind sternwheeler. Don't hesitate. It sold out quickly last year.
Friday, January 30:
Back by popular demand, sheppard4 will lead an early morning hike into the hills to visit a local petroglyph site. Allow 45 minutes to one hour from the parking coordinates.
We had such a great time last year, we decided to do it again! "The Miner's Life" takes place in a picnic area just outside the Castle Dome Museum. The museum is not just a 'recreation'. Many of the buildings, while rebuilt, are at their original locations, and the wealth of things you will see came from local area miners. You might also schedule a tour of the Hull mine and see perhaps the best authentic wall of fluorescent minerals anywhere in the world! While the museum and mine tour are not free, they have agreed to give us a significant discount during our mega event week.

Who doesn't enjoy a good Flash Mob? Join kctrumpet in old town Yuma for this fun event. Bring a newspaper and prepare yourself for a "sword fight". When the mob disperses, you can check out the many fine places to eat nearby.
Saturday, January 31:
This is arguably the best event of the week!!! Would you like to earn a special geocoin while discovering many interesting locations around Yuma? Attend this annual event at Martha's Gardens, a working date farm, to learn more. After the event, pick up your passport, go geocaching, and return it later in the day (or at the Yuma Mega Event on Sunday) to receive your geocoin. Hosted by tenbucks46.
Come join PeachofWA and Skyhawker for a short event in the downtown Yuma area where you can gather after a long day of geocaching. Meet up with friends, make some new ones, and then decide where you want to go for dinner. There are many fantastic choices within a short distance of this event.
Sunday, February 1:
Spend a fun-filled day with us at Yuma's West Wetlands Park. You can expect fellowship, raffles and prizes, games, and a creative cache display. We will also have trackables for discovery or exchange, a pathtag exchange, food and merchandise for sale. Of course you'll want to have you picture taken with our very own Signal the Frog.
Monday, February 2:
Sadly, our Canadian friends have to return to the cold, wet North. Don't miss this opportunity to thank them for coming (and thank PhilatSea for his work on this year's event coin), and wish them safe travels.
The OndrTeam is unable to be with us this year, but RED BUGGY MAN and sheppard4 graciously offered to host this fan favorite, ever-fabulous Margaritaville Roundup in Los Algodones, Mexico, as part of the Yuma Mega week of events. You will need to bring your passport to attend this event.

Join marla45 at this family-owned donut shop serving up fresh baked goodness with authentic cowboy spirit since 2007.
